10-Step Plus-Employee Selection Process

10 Step Plus is the name of USI’s Employee Selection Process.  The “10” refers to the number of steps required for an applicant to successfully meet USI’s hiring criteria.  The process includes multiple interviews and a number of background checks including Criminal History, Drug Screening and Previous Employment.  In addition, successful completion of an administered exam is required for consideration.

The “PLUS” refers to USI’s unique commitment to provide Annual Recertification of selective screening items such as:  Criminal History Checks, Security Officer License Renewals and Department of Motor Vehicle (DMV) Checks when applicable.  To our knowledge, USI IS THE ONLY SECURITY COPMPANY which commits to an annual screening process of its personnel.
